How to know if you need a new Roof

Most people have no idea of the condition in which their roof is in and unfortunately, this could have costly consequences.

It’s important to check if you can see any missing or loose slates or tiles. Holes in your roof will let in the rain, and therefore will cause costly damage to the roof timbers and other parts of the structure. 

3. Check the life of the roof material:

Whether your roof needs to be replaced it could depend on what material has been used. Generally, concrete will not need to be replaced unless a lot of damage has been caused. Materials such as tiles and ceramic need to be replaced every 20 years, so if you are at the end of its life consider having an important inspection.

   

4. How old is your roof:

It is important to know when it was the last time your roof was replaced, it could be 10, 20, or 30 years old and in need of some heavy work. If you’ve not been in the house a long time, check the documents that you would have received with the home to see when was the last time it was replaced.
