It is essential that before replacing the lid, remove the previous one and carefully clean the edges with a paint scraper. After verifying that the edges are free of accumulation, you can continue with the process.

To mount and seal the lid, take it from the end of the gutter and apply the silicone sealant, and then place it on the end of the gutter. If you use metal caps, it is better to cut the rivets to remove the old one, and after placing it you should use the same holes to rivet the new cap once the sealant has been applied. If you use wooden lids, you should apply wood glue to put it back in the gutter and let it dry.
