Choosing the type of design of your new roof

When you are going to build your roof, you must decide between the multiple types of design that exist. Po this is good to know the differences, including the pros and cons of each style to choose well.

A-frame: Very used in Bungalows, cabins and country houses. A A frame serves as much as the walls of the house and the roof.

Arched ceiling: It is a very common design, at home on a single level and two levels. The arch generally covers one part of the house with another style of roof that covers the rest.

Bonnet Roof: As the name implies, it works as a deck primarily for outdoor areas such as a patio, porch or to cover a boat or trailer.

Butterfly roof: Simulates a pair of fully extended butterfly wings. It is an interesting and futuristic aspect, but not the best option for water drainage.

Gable: The traditional gabled roof looks like an inverted "V". It's a simplistic style that adds a distinctive touch to a simple roof. The pediments also provide an excellent means of ventilation.

Pyramidal roof: used mainly in small houses or in a series of pyramids on a series of smaller roof portions.

Flat Roof: It is one of the easiest styles to build and easy to repair. The disadvantage is that you need a very good design for an adequate water drainage. It also requires more maintenance and needs to be cleaned more often from any residue, leaves or branches that may accumulate on the surface.
