Tips to keep the roof of your carport clean

Tip 1. Remove moss and debris:

When a roof is under large trees, it is likely to accumulate some moss or mold on the roof. Also, leaves and twigs that can fall on the roof. To clean this, mix a solution of 1 part bleach with 4 parts water in your bucket. Use the pressure washer to apply the solution to the ceiling, taking care to ensure that the most affected areas are completely soaked. Soak it for 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it with the pressure washer or garden hose. For areas where there is more accumulation, you may have to repeat this process until everything is completely clean.

Tip 2. Cut trees:

While the bleach solution dissolves the moss on the roof, you should trim any branches protruding from the roof of the carport. Since these branches are the cause of moss, it is also possible that the branches damage the roof with strong winds. If you observe that there are often birds that use the branches to perch, their droppings can also make the roof unsightly and can cause damage.

Tip 3. Deter the birds:

To keep your garage clean, you must prevent the birds from landing on it or nesting under it to sleep. Block all areas where you can rest and sprinkle or spray strong-smelling spices around the area.
